Hello, anybody still out there...?

Well who would've thunk it? Here I am back on the ol' blog updating (and upolading) my latest achievements. You'll be pleased to know (that is if there are any of you left out there...) that I am indeed still writing.
The miracle novel has now reached an incredible 62000 words! I still can't believe it. I try and get about 5000 words a week done so it's still pretty slow going but not too bad for six months work, not to mention the fact that we moved last year and I'm raising a now 13 month old!
Yes, beautiful baby is now BT - Beautiful Toddler. And with only one nap a day now it's pretty amazing how dedicated I am to my writing.
Actually it's been going really well. I've been Amazon's best customer and I love the fact that I can buy a book for 1c even if the postage is $15, I still think it's great. I'm really enjoying the research aspect of it actually and I bought a fantastic book the other day by Gene Brucker called Giovanni and Lusanna: Love and Marriage in Renaissance Florence. Absolutely brilliant and so insightful. It's been great in working out the marriage details of Vittoria and Giovanni. And Matteo and his woman too.
Actually at this point I realise that you don't have a clue who these people are. So let me give you a bit of a low down.
The story is set in present day with an Australian woman and and Italian man, Olivia and Paolo in Florence. Olivia starts to experience hallucinations from the past. Hence the new couple in the 15th century, Giovanni and Vittoria. Matteo is her brother, who despite his own sexual preferences, is being married off for business purposes. I'm actually writing a piece at the moment set at Lorenzo de Medici's villa in Careggi. They're there to celebrate Plato's birthday and although I have taught Plato (albeit briefly) in the past I've enjoyed researching him and his philosophies too.
So once I figure out how to copyright my work I'll post an excerpt for you to read.
Hope you're all well KV-ettes
Bacci xx

Yay!! Welcome back to the Blogosphere. 62000 words.... oh my goodness. I can't wait to see your book on the shelves at Borders. I may just have to call everyone in the store over and tell them that I know KV! That will be my claim to fame.
