The Phoenix has risen again

Well I must admit that I have been very slack with my writing in recent weeks. I did sit back down to it yesterday and decide that I didn't actually want to write this story anymore, that it was a bit too...not sure. But after a good night's sleep (thank you son for sleeping through the night!) I have decided to stick with it. It is quite a dark story, but then I guess it's hard to write a story about nuclear holocaust with a more jaunty angle, hmm? Anyway, don't worry the story is back on track, as am I as a dedicated writer, so keep checking out kvwrites to see what else is new.
I am however, stumped for a first name for my lead character. A fifteen year old male, Australian. His last name is done (and actually has some symbolism - oh, I can feel that Pulitzer already!) but I'm a bit iffy on the first name. Any ideas? And if you're reading this Captain, you can keep your ideas to yourself!! I might have to dig out the baby names book.
By the way, do you think it's too off putting to have a romance in a book that's pitched at teenage boys? Would it just be too corny? I don't have one written into my plan but I'm thinking now that I could pick up the darkness with some
lurve action. Let me know what you think.
Au revoir

Glad to hear that the story is back on track. As for names, how about Nicholas, Daniel, Alex, Hayden, Frank (just threw that one is to see if you were still reading).

I think romance would be ok, lighten it up a bit. Even Star Wars had some romance in it and teenage boys loved that storyline.

I agree... romance is good. Think of the Tomorrow When the War Began series - FULL of sex and romance and teen angst!

Good to see you're sticking with the story. As for names, I'm stumped. But yeah, how about Nicholas? That's a bit symbolic! :-P
