Autumn in the ACT

After what seemed like the longest summer known to mankind (I mean really, who expects 30 degree weather in March!!!??) it seems that autumns has finally arrived in our patch of the country. Although the days are still fairly mild (low 20s) the nights are getting below ten and the mornings are chilly. There's even been a rumour that frost has been spotted!

Hallelujah is all I can say!!!

The leaves have been slow to turn this year, probably because of all the rain and warm weather (poor things don't know if it's autumn or spring!) but finally one of the maples in my yard made a brilliant show of red, as have the nandinas in the front yard. Yippee! I love autumn in Canberra!
