When It Rains, It Pours

This week I was offered two teaching jobs. Both of them were organised through the help of friends. This was taken into consideration when I made the lists that were to help me make my ultimate decision - people were willing to put my name forward, recommend and advocate my cause on my behalf!!!

And yet, I could only accept one job.

So I took out the old pen and paper and make a pro con list. In no time it was quite obvious which one was the clear winner.

Despite the mountains of paperwork (well, after four years of no paperwork it seemed like a lot!!) most of which I'm still waiting to be approved from the Department, I am really happy with the decision that I have made. The job is - hopefully - meant to start in July which gives me time to organise daycare, prepare classes and getting my teaching mojo back.

Don't laugh - teachers have mojo! Sometimes it's hidden behind corduroy jackets with patched sleeves or knee high socks (sorry KV which school exactly are you planning to work at??? The one from 1980??) but it's a very important thing, and I've gotta get mine back.

Wish me luck :)

And no, the zebras don't have anything to do with this post, I just found the pic on my computer and thought I'd pop it in. They were grazing lazily at Lake George mid last year but got moved on by crazy people who found them a nuisance.

Bacci a tutti xx

Still waiting for confirmation which will come when I get my casual teaching ticket. The zebras were fake (a wonderful artist's idea of dressing up the boring Lake) and found a loving new home at Floriade.
